How do you define leadership?
Leadership is the shaping of power, my own and others.
Enlightened leadership consists of the deepening of the leader’s sensory experience, thoughts, feelings, desires and the actions that follow…as well as shaping the same in the group. “Shaping” includes becoming aware, honoring and orchestrating what he and the group members are experiencing. The true nature of power is the capacity to experience self and respond to that experience effectively. The same is true for the group. The opportunity to see and address this is always present in any group. The leader, over and over again, is managing energy between himself and another, or among others, and directing that energy toward agreed-upon goals.
